Las Escribanias Judiciales (ESC) desde inicios del período colonial autorizaron contratos particulares y diligencias judiciales. Los Notarios fueron encargados de redactar, autorizar y custodiar las escrituras como reserva de la fe pública redactada y autorizada por los escribanos. Los autos y expedientes de las antiguas escribanías judiciales de la ciudad de La Habana recopilan la actividad de alcaldías mayores y juzgados en la resolución de litigios y se dividen en: Bienes de Difuntos. The Judicial Notaries (Escribanías: ESC) since the beginning of the colonial period authorized private contracts and judicial proceedings.
