My Dear Aunt,
I was duly in receipt of a few lines from thee under date 5Mo 1834 which I can truly say I perused with much pleasure and interest.
I now remit under cover a draft for £50 Stg say Fifty pounds Sterling for thy use and the same shall be by me remitted Annually henceforward and I hope that it will reach its destination safely and be productive of satisfaction to thee, were it only as a sign that years long past are not forgotten, and that thy more than Motherly care and attention are still borne in mind by those towards whom they were exercised.
I am well to do in the world and am respected by those amongst whom my lot has been cast and I owe this more to thy education than to any thing else except Providence. I shall be happy to hear from thee, this letter is short but it is much longer than thine and the tenth that I have written this day.
I remain thy affect. nephew.
